I made this Mario Birthday Cake for my son's 8th birthday. He is now almost 10. Wow, time flies. Anyways, I wanted to put this on here because I am so proud of this cake. I surfed the Internet many times seeing if I could come up with any inspiration on a Mario Cake. I found nothing so that's why I am posting this picture. It was really very easy to make. I just used regular boxed cake mix and tub frosting. The fun part came in the decorating. I found a Marion Kart figure at Game Stop (What luck since his party was a Mario Kart Racing Party). I went to the Bulky Store and searched the candy aisles to find things that looked like what you might find on the race course. Candy bananas, gumdrops for mushrooms, etc. I just had fun with it.
